\nHer music and research focuses on conceptual composition, sonic images and the perception\/imagination of the listener in electroacoustic music. Currently, she is investigating how the cultural, social and individual differences of the audience affect the listening process and the educational practices of contemporary music.
\nFani Konstantinidou was born in Greece. She studied classical guitar and music history and she has a bachelor on Music technology & Acoustics (Rethimno – GR). She studied electroacoustic music composition at the Ionian University, Corfu – GR (MA in Arts & technologies of Sound) as well as at the the Royal Conservatory , The Hague – NL (MMus in Sonology)
\nCurrently, she is a PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). At the same time she works as an independent composer, sound artist, music researcher, and educator.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cLive Coding as a performative art form has been changing and evolving just as fast as it\u2019s community grows and becomes more diverse. For this evening Felipe Ignacio will live code in 2 distinct styles. The first one will be a revival of the almost defunct but legendary Mexican 9 minute scratch. This type of live coding played a crucial role in the growth and boom of live coding in Mexico almost 10 years ago. The second part will be in the spirit of the algorave style, probably the form of live coding which receives the most attention nowadays. This style is often more suited for the night club scene, and Felipe will live code as Panda B (from the live coding hip hop band pandazooicide).\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAmsterdam based musician and trained drummer Sietse van Erve (Orphax) was introduced to electronic music in the early nineties. After playing around with tracker software for a couple of years, he eventually recorded his first more serious attempts of music with beats and melodies in 1998, though soon lost interest in both these.
\nHe started researching new sounds and new ways of working \u2013 always with an organic touch, often incorporating sounds that would be regarded by others as errors or mistakes. Considering life isn\u2019t without errors either. During this search he found his way into drone and microtonal music.
\nAs a result in his most recent work time and spatiality become more important factors. Live this is combined is loads of room for improvisation. This way of working results often in an organic form of drone and minimal music.<\/p>\n
